It's the start of a new school year! I am entering a new "phase"...da da daaaa-- the dreaded MIDDLESCHOOL. Every time I would pass the middleschool in the morning, I would think "hmmmmm it will be a long time til we are in there" --well, the day has finally come!
We started the morning with the usual "first day of school photos on the porch". Halle started crying because she was told by her siblings that they would not be coming back for a loooong time and that she could not go to school.... nice....
Since I have such a bad memory, I have each kid hold up their respective grade they are entering (nice idea eh?)
Not sure if the kids would allow me, I took my camera for the drop-off just in case they would let their dear ole' mom take a photo actually of them in front of the school--needless to say.. it was a no go..
well, who doesn't like traditions right? The 1st day of school photos shall remain on the porch. :)

That is too funny! I got the same reaction from my kiddos...so I didn't even take the camera. Henry took his backpack when we walked them to school and was totally bummed he wasn't staying. Hope the first couple of days went well!
